Who We Are
Since 1992, Avionica has delivered innovative aviation products and services to diverse customers, including airlines, engine and avionics manufacturers, maintenance facilities, regulatory agencies, safety boards, and militaries worldwide.
Avionica is located in Miami, Florida, where our 2,800 square meter campus houses a knowledgeable family of employees. With our roots in avionics testing, we believe in providing exemplary technical services and support. Avionica has over 500 global customers, including many regional, national, and international carriers. We believe in efficiency and fiscal prudence; we have been profitable in every year since our inception, and carry no debt.
Our team, led by founder and president Raul Segredo, is dedicated to keeping customers first. We believe successful products and service offerings are conceived through a comprehensive understanding of industry requirements, and work closely with our customers to refine concepts into designs. Our products succeed through innovation, never imitation. Our uniquely capable products represent the best value available for the task.
AS9100 Certified
Avionica takes quality seriously. We are an AS9100 certified organization and recently upgraded our quality system to ISO 9001:2008. All our products are designed and manufactured in the United States in Miami, Florida, under FAA authority. Avionica qualifies under CFR 14 section 121. Our products are currently operating on over 8,000 aircraft worldwide.
Avionica specializes in complete flight data and communications management solutions comprising both airborne avionics and ground support equipment. We understand that an innovative product is only part of a complete solution, so Avionica also designs and maintains many of our own Supplemental Type Certificates, and works with a worldwide network of installation service providers to provide turnkey aftermarket solutions.
Many of our STCs include foreign validations from Brazil (ANAC), the European Union (EASA), and China (CAAC). We also provide support to OEMs such as Bombardier, Gulfstream, Embraer, and others who install our products in their production aircraft.
Global Reach
In addition to our U.S. based Sales Team, Avionica is represented by both resellers and agents with offices in India, Singapore, China, the United Kingdom, and Brazil. Our network of repair stations now includes Singapore in addition to the U.S.
Our airborne products include the miniQAR Mk III, third generation of the original miniature Quick Access Recorder (QAR) featuring support for multiple aviation data buses (717, 429, RS-232, RS-422, Ethernet), and available 3G wireless communications. satLINK MAX, our fully ARINC 741/ 761 compliant Iridium satellite data unit, is qualified on both SITA and ARINC networks. Our aviONS Onboard Network Server (ONS) ties all of Avionica’s data management capabilities together in an extremely small and lightweight package, delivering ONS, RDC and 4G Wireless Module on aircraft throughout the world.
Avionica provides a variety of Ground Support Equipment (GSE) solutions, such as the RSU II, a handheld multi-use ruggedized flight line computer tablet capable of hosting multiple applications including avSCAN for flight data analysis, USB429win for ARINC 429 data bus analysis, and LOAD615win and LOAD615Awin for portable data loading.
